On my list:
Brushed my teeth *** (good thing it's not Boar's hair yuck)
I liked the fact that you said it was okay to lie to
ourselves but to come clean before we went to bed - and by doing this the lies
will begin to diminish...
I loved the line, "When you speak to an egotist one to
one, they don't listen. They wait to
speak" I had to laugh out loud with
that one - we all know many people like that...

LOVE the book, and i have read over the last 20 years....
"Alcoholics Anonymous" and "Al-Anon"1988
"To love is to be happy With" 1993
"The magic of Believing"2002
"Overcoming Underearning" 2009
and always the Bible 1980+
Trying to find some formula for not continuously beating
myself up.
I have never really gotten an aha
moment until now. Writing a list of 12 things was brilliant, I was reminded of
what is really important in my life. and thank you for not putting more than 3
easy exercises in the book, that could be your pitch, "Get your
self-esteem on track with 3 easy exercises!"

I really did love it. I have....like so many of us....read a gazillion self help books over the years and many are "helpful" but yours was just so actionable, so simple.
And it's all stuff I have probably read before in
different places but to have it so accessible, concise and...let me say it
again...SIMPLE, is such a gift.
I'm looking forward
to your next book and I'll be picking up a few extra copies of this one for
Christmas!
