From Chapter 2

Okay, I Lie to Myself, So Now What?

Congratulations! You’re normal! This may be one of the only self-help books you read which gives you permission to lie to yourself. In your journey to a healthy self-esteem, you’re not going to change who you are; you’re going to learn about who you are. Positive change will, believe it or not, come from these realizations. Positive change is a side-effect of understanding who you are. You’ll be amazed at how self-realization can trigger so many positive changes which will seem to happen without effort, nearly silently in the background.

Plus, let’s face it: nobody LIKES facing down their demons. Nobody LIKES admitting to not being 100% honest with themselves all the time. But hey – we’re all adults here. We’ve learned that responsible adults often sacrifice satisfaction for long-term benefits. Well, if you haven’t learned that yet – at least accept it temporarily before you continue reading.

And look, I’m not asking anyone to stop lying to themselves. Honesty may very well be one of these positive side effects we are talking about. Just make a daily habit of confessing these little lies to yourself, and you’ll find that lying will soon lose much of its effect and appeal.

Your first step toward self-discovery is to realize you're flawed and learn to be comfortable with that. But before you can connect with yourself, let's learn a powerful technique for conquering that jerk who lives inside us and seems to never get tired of tearing us down.

Discover how easy it can be to find your self-esteem.
